That side comic I mentioned way here [link]
I really wanted to get at least this part out of the way, so I don't get that annoying incomplete work feeling.. There's some stuff I like about it and some I don't.

Technically there's supposed to be a follow up to this that takes place specifically within the second round, that covers some Xue and Cria back story stuff. But I'm gonna put it on hold for now so I can put 100% focus on round 3.

Hmmm... I'm assuming this takes place in between rounds one and two? It's a bit tricky for me to tell... They have just won a battle, but there isn't too much clue-ed in as to when... I'd say having a bit of an environmental shot to show they are in Toy-town would've been to a benefit. Your backgrounds are minimal but suitable for the most part in this comic... The characters still feel "there" just hasn't been established quite exactly where.
...Wait! But... that was only soul and Criamon joining in that round... When exactly is this? After R2? Or did Drago practice Xrossing in the toytown rumble as well offscreen?
But! I'm gonna assume it was after that free-for-all with a ton of digimon, and all the members Xrossed in the image.

Hmm... And considering Jojo's attire, I am assuming he has a penchant for the wool Criamon and co. lost in the duel. It's not really explained why he's swimming around in wool at first, but I like how you implied it later on with him trying to move it futilely as his smaller form. It was a bit sudden and confusing with him bowling into Xue... but that actually kinda fits the situation! Makes a person want to figure out the why's, and that little moment of him trying to move it later was cute and a good way of showing rather than telling.

I just... I really love how you draw everyone. especially Xue, he just feels so expressive and alive there. All of the characters do of course! But It's really interesting seeing Xue drawn healthy and frequently now. Alexis as a human had the digimantle to help vary her appearance.. And Xue as a sickly person was always very covered up until he got to DWC. I just really love the way you draw him, at times looking more mature, and others like the young kid he's not quite so grown out of being. He's just as expressive and opinionated as his more beastly friends, and doesn't feel out of place in their company.
I can go on for ages with really enjoying all the detail you manage to draw for everyone, and still make them look really varied and expressive and fluid. The effort you put into the lines is really evident with the inking being varied and helping to define the characters. You go very cartoony, yet it rarely feels unnatural, which is again really great considering the differences between allt he characters. You can get immediately what they are thinking and feeling, except not always fro Criamon...but that's kinda the point with the little guy. XD
They all have really varied personalities, and how they handle things. From a more pensive but cheery Alexis, grumpy Drago, Silly Cria, Soul who remains mostly distant except to give his opinion, somewhat meek but easily excitable Jojo, and optimistic Xue.... Everyone just feels different. they bounce off eachother really well, and again... surprise people. I really wasn't expecting Soul to torch Jojo for example after finding out he was an attacker...
Hmm... Speaking of that, I assume that may be answered eventually... Right, the comic was mostly happy, but there is a bit of mystery amongst this. It'll be interesting seeing more of Xue and Cria's romp through Versandi if you should choose to continue a bit more.
Heh... and Drago being so grumpy shows he's not quite used ot the whole group dynamics along with everythign else that happened... but he really cares for Al, so it's nice seeing him try and put that difference aside to help Xue for now...

All in all... great expressions and variety of character... I can tell you put a lot of effort into making things clear to read while still having your staples like words morphing in the panels, the panels helping to set the mood and that feeling of hand-drawn everything.I t is really neat and clean to read.
I'll say just focus on establishing them a tiny bit better as to where they are... Otherwise sO far so good!

Thanks so much for this mega big comment
That's right, this takes place after toybox rumble and before wrestlemania.(although the next part is planned to take place during the latter.) The hectic nature of the free-for-all round left things open for a variety of forms to be used. I personally used ApuLlamonXS for both elemental and AoE advantage, and a narrative implication of showing off Xrossing to newbies like Drago and Alex. From what I remember of other artists' entries that included my Digimon, ApuLlamon Spirit mode was my monster's most popular form. One of the few exceptions being starchart's [link] who depicted DreadApuLlamon. Drago's recounting of Xrossing is a reference to this.

I'm glad to hear/read that my characters feel different from each other but play off of each well in a group dynamic. I always worry about big casts(or at least numbers bigger than two or three) It always makes me happy when others pick up on their quirks, and surprises. Soul's actions which even shocked Drago, are combination of his own opportunism(Okay, he's an enemy of my teammate's better take him out quickly), something I hope to reveal later, and an authorial desire to skip a battle so I can get to the talking bits at the end as soon as I could.

I appreciate the honesty concerning the sparse backgrounds. (Which I hope to improve upon it next time)

Jojo loves wool, especially of the kind that comes from Criamon and related Digimon. I hope to expand upon this in due time along with his reasons to bumping into Xue and crew. (besides well, fluff obscuring his vision) Just about the majority of the other questions brought up in the story will hopefully be answered in some way.

Thanks again for the lovely comment
