Ike Clanton was the oldest of the Clanton brothers and sadly, the least courageous. Billy, however was reckless and foolish; the kind of man Curly Bill wanted in his Red Sash Gang. He tolerated Ike because he was the oldest son of NH Clanton, a mean rustler who put Curly Bill in charge of his rustling operations.
