Description Recently finished a book of short stories that merge
the HP Lovecraft and AC Doyle universes, which is
about as awesome as sci-fi literature can get!

Famous detective Sherlock Holmes takes on
the dark machinations of the Great Old Ones...

The final tale contains the immortal line:
"Professor Moriarty has the Necronomicon!"

Truly classic stuff! So inspired by this, I decided
to create a little sketch just for the fun of it!

Done with ink, and digi-coloured...

That version of Moriarty looks a damn sight more dynamic and evil than the image
on wiki

I'm reading that at the moment. It's epic! The only story I don't like is the Wavy Black Dagger one. Tiger! Tiger! is my fave at the mo though.

I was wondering whether anyone had done any fanart for it, I'm so glad you have at least. It's a good picture.

Is this a real book? Where can I get my hands on it.

I have a feeling that the conclusion will be a lot bloodier than Reichanbach falls.

Indeed, good sir!
It's available on Amazon. I can heartily recommend it, as my good mate
Derek Dow was the one who initially turned me onto this book. If you
like Lovecraft and Doyle, this is a sophisticated tribute to both...!

It's well worth a read, I was wondering if the 'Shadows' book would
do Holmes and Watson justice, but the writers have grat respect for
the source material, and it shows. I would recommend it!

Haha, this is fantastic!
The style you used in this picture is really fun - a great mix between cartoony and realistic, as well as funny and creepy. Great composition too! I love the coloured lineart on the buildings in the background.
Awesome stuff!

By Yog-Sothoth, Watson!

I wonder if the world would be any worse of a place if Holmes got the Necronomicon?

I can just imagine it. "As Holmes began to read that acursed book, the world began to sway in a way that made the most vicious Ocean storm look calm. Before we knew it, there came a crash and the air in front of Holmes ripped open. A creature that could only be described as a mixture of an Ardvark, a Dragon and a Bi-cycle began to slime it's way through to our Plane."
