this is my first critique. I may be a little tough but this is to help you improve. first of all this picture is appealing to the eye. the light colors and dark colors go together very well. however for orignality I see that pose alot. the techneique is nice. but the shading on the hair and skin could be a little darker. I cannot see the hand very well but from what I see the hand could be a little bigger because you hand is 1/4th of your head. I love how the dress is frilly. overwell it's welldone.

Wow! I must surprise that you,CuteCosmo,have improve a lot! The shading, the coloring,the drawing,every thing,PERFECT! The color of Shine's dress is realastic ,her emotions are nice,looks like she's a real tsundere. I most interested in her eyes, sharp but shows shyness,they shines brightly,just like her name,Shine, very well-done! And the hair,you shade it beautifully,but the behind-hair, I mean the lines, is a little bit rough,though. Her hand, I think they're drawn ,but I also see that they're too short.
That's what my opinion is,so if some words hurts you,I'm sorry! Keep doing,Onee-chan! I will always support you! Ganbare (Keep going in Japanese)

First off I would like to say this is really good!Theres not really any mistakes,just some things i think you should work on.So first I will start with all the good things.
The hair is excellent!It looks realistic and just overall,it's nice to look at.The expression looks really good,my eyes are really good,there probably my favorite part of this picture,They really pop out and there the first thing I see when i look at it.I also noticed how the "camera" is looking at her at an angle,so her left eye is farther away from us.That was very nice detailed and you did it nicely.Another thing is the pose,I love it.It really shows her gloomy mood (in my opinion it's also a little sassy with the hip but thats just me XD ) You did the pose perfectly.I also love the dress,personally I love long,flowing dresses.The dress flows nicely.The last thing is her buds,i really like them.There really like them there so shiny,and they give off that metallic feeling.
What i think could use work is 2 things.I think the highlights on the dress should have been blended in more around the edges.
Secondly,the bow on the waist of the dress.At first i did,t noticed it because almost half of it blended in with the shadow on the skirt.To fix that you should of outlined the bow with a thin line and use a different color.For example in this pic you should outline it with the same yellow you used for the skirt.To make it more realistic you could blend it in a little,or not draw around the whole bow.Thats all I really got for things that need to be worked on (please be aware that this is all just my opinion and you don't need to do any of this stuff if you don't want to.Either was i still lover your art.Also don't take any of this in a mean or hatred way.)
You should also color your line art to make it look more realistic.So overall this is a really great piece and i love it.

The pose Shine is in is the first thing I liked when I saw this deviation. For an application form, this is just as good a pose needs to be. Nothing fancy or such. drawing a pose can be quite of a challenge (I find it as such anyway). The body proportions also look correct to me.

Two things I did notice: I think the back of her hair should be smooth all the way; I can see edges. I also don't understand how shine has yellow shades on her dress.


Overall: The shading and outline have been done well. Good work. C:
