History:

Hope’s parents, Marie and Yar Moonray, always wanted the best for their baby girl. When Hope took an interest in performing on stage, alongside her mother, they were both truly happy. Her performances mainly included singing and dancing along with Pokémon from her parents and other performers. She especially loved when she performed with her mothers Gengar. The silly Pokémon never worked with a plan, always improve, which Hope loved because she could really let loose. The hundreds of eyes in the audience never bothered her one bit.
Now at the age of nineteen, Hope is feeling on top of the world. That is, only when she’s actually onstage. Offstage, she’s very shy and hates being around others, especially crowds. It makes her very uncomfortable, no matter how much they praise her on her talent. Her father suggested a few times that if she took a small break and went on a journey, she wouldn’t be so shy. Having a partner of her own, creating memories and making friends along the way. Her mother never liked it when he brought up leaving home, and Hope wasn’t very fond of the idea, either. She wasn’t sure how well the adventure would turn out, afraid of failing as a trainer. Yet the longer she thought about it, the more she wanted to become a trainer. Maybe her father was right, a journey could help her be comfortable around people and feel… normal. Feel more like herself all the time.
One day, while she was reading reviews of her latest show, she overheard her mother talking to a friend about Professor Larix who lived in Situla Town. Professor Larix performs an unusual practice when dealing with trainers being registered into the region. Instead of providing the trainers with a selection of starters he instead gives trainers a “horoscope reading” through the stars, aligning trainers with their “celestially destined” starters. This intrigued Hope and when her father mentioned going to Situla Town, she jumped at the chance to go with him.
After meeting the Professor and learning more about what it means to be a trainer, Hope finally made up her mind. Hope was going on a journey with a Pokémon partner from Professor Larix. She had already packed a bag, just incase her mind agreed with her heart.
