I much prefer them with more articulation, a lot of the older dolls don't, though some of the newer Disney store dolls have more-well the female characters do.

Yes, I like when the dolls are articulated, so they can be posed. I like action figures too.

I used to collect Barbie dolls when I was a teen. I collected the Disney female dolls too. I still have my original Jasmine, Belle, Tinkerbell, Mulan, Cinderella and Esmeralda. I only took my two Jasmine dolls and my Esme one too, including her Djali plushy.
I envy your creativity when it comes to making your own dolls. I'm still in love with your Frolls and Horned King figures. That includes both thrones. I want to try to make a Frolls bust. Like I dream of a bust of him at the end of HOND, when he's all demonic looking.
Oh I know what you're saying. Also, Disney dolls made now days look too cartoony. They don't look right. I remember both Jafar and Mal were spot on. I loved those dolls and they were expensive.

It's seems now you gotta get the expensive one nowadays if you want them to look good, or at least more movie accurate- I'm still hoping for a Frollo and Esmeralda in the heroes and villains doll collection in future. Haha, a bust of him would be great, he has so many great facial expression, it would be hard to choose.

True.
A Frollo doll would be so great. I would be willing to pay a lot for him, he would be worth it.
It would be hard to choose. I definitely have my favorites though.

He would definitely sell, if they made one, and since they are of limited editions and aimed more at adult collectors.
Even Esme dolls are getting harder to find, and I don't mean mint in the box condition either; I certainty wouldn't mind an Esme doll even if she came without clothes/incomplete, at least I could have a go at making them myself.

He definitely would! Along with Esme too.
When I got interested in Frollo again, almost 20 years later, I was surprised and ecstatic at the fan following he had.
HOND wasn't as popular as Beauty and The Beast, The Little Mermaid or even Lion King in the whole of the Renaissance era and now days it seems like Disney is trying to bury HOND in shame for some reason. Like "HOND? What? What's this HOND you speak of? Oh hum..." *whistles distractedly...* I mean, I know that it had more adult criteria than the average Disney movies at that time, but really Disney? I never saw HOND as a children's movie anyway. It was more aimed at preteen to teen ages and the gargoyles don't count as aiming at children (cringes). Nothing should be subjected to that horror.
...And yes, I was crazy enough to actually try to contact Disney's marketing and plead for them to do something special for it's 20th anniversary, but nope, never got a response. Instead, here's yet another Beauty and the Beast release edition as well as a really horrible live action remake for you. I hope they never touch HOND for a live action movie. I pray to the gods they don't.
Okay rant over.

Haha, too right there, well one thing you can pretty much guarantee....there's a fan group for Everything
That's usually the response I get when the topic of favourite Disney movies has come into conversation, mention Hond, and the the response is usually...'what?/ I haven't watched that/never knew Disney made that' However I did recommend it to one of my work colleagues a few years back as she was getting a collection of Disney movies for her two little kids, which she did, so hopefully that's another generation that will get to see it
I'm a bit on the fence with these remakes, part of me wants to see them, but on the other hand erm, well, ...I'm not sure what to think. As much as I love Hond I wouldn't want them to do redo it no- the stage show versions however are really good. Considering how Hond is swept under the rug so much, it seems very unlikely they would.
I wouldn't say I hated the new Beauty and the Beast movie, but wasn't anything spectacular, but it certainly was not better than the original; although they filled in some of the plot holes, they also sort of unintentionally put in new ones. Belles mother's back story was ok, but not really necessary. One new thing I didn't like was the magic book thing that can transport you anywhere - that was a bit stupid

Oh yay! I hope she considered HOND.
I don't think they will pick HOND up either for a remake. Maybe it's a good thing that it's more obscure.
The magic book was a huge complaint by a lot of people and I agree with you on Belle's mother's back story. It was kind of interesting, but somethings should just be left a mystery, IMO. My personal issue that irked me more than anything out of everything that was wrong with the remake was the beast himself. I hated how they changed his image to look more human. The beast was my favorite character in the original. I loved him more than than prince Adam and always was sad when he transformed. The reason why was because he didn't have any human features except his eyes. There was a reason they did that. Even though his features were all animal, his eyes were human, they were the window to his soul and Belle noticed that. They made him too human in the remake. The message they conveyed in the original didn't work in the remake because of that.
Also, I'm going to say that HONDs soundtrack was and still is more beautiful than Beauty and the Beasts soundtrack. Sorry but not sorry.

Oh yes, she did, hope the kids grow up to like it.
I just didn't see the point of it, they already had the magic mirror that could show anything , why have that? It didn't make sense to introduce if they'd never use it again, for example, could have had Belle to go back to her father- get it to transport her there - instead of riding off back through the forest to him. *sigh* plotholes. The new beast design ...yeah...not as good as it could have been, i don't know, and they also just seemed to lack the chemistry between them as they managed in the animated movie, let alone the charm.
ah yes, the Hond soundtrack is an experience in itself - a masterpiece to be sure i agree. Speaking of which yay, HoND anniversary month

I don't think Emma Watson was really present in the role. It's like she was only doing it for a paycheck. It just didn't have the charm as the original.
