Drawn by my brother, designed by both of us, colored by me, special effects by my brother.Shades are a special sub-class of Wraiths. They use a variation of the same shielding technology the Wraiths use to project a hologram around themselves, with which they take on the appearance of others. This allows Shades to effectively immerse themselves into enemy territory far more deeply than Wraiths can, although Shades are nowhere near as prevalent in the Coalition as many of the tasks they perform can be done by Wraiths anyway.
Shades make sure to study their targets long and hard before attempting to blend in with them. A Shade's holo-screen can be programmed to take a target's form simply by snapping an image of the target. They also have voice replicators in their masks to effectively change their voices, a quick recording of the target's voice usually necessary for effective emulation. They are skilled actors and lethal assassins. Like Wraiths, Shades carry energy daggers embedded in their wrists. As Shades attempt to be as inconspicuous as possible, they typically carry no weapons aside from these.
Also like the Wraith, we drew this Shade in the midst of activating his special ability. This Shade is obviously camouflaging itself as Sally Acorn, probably for some sort of political manipulation.

Ham: Oh, I know the answer to this one. *pits on a pair of ski goggles, waits 5 seconds, then shoots the right Ruby in the arm* And we have a winner.

Ham: In, fact, I'm quite sure. *takes off the goggles* You see, these goggles are a one-of-a-kind piece of technology from a production agency called the S.E.M.S.E.V.. It gives accurate information about what is going on around you and can help with battle tactics and other sticky situations. *shows her them* What you've just witnessed is a setup called a "Multi-Anatogram." It looks inside a life form and can identify key points in them. *looks at the fake Ruby* Like when someone is masking them self through a tight hologram. *looks back at Ruby* This has taken quite sometime to master. *shows her the goggles* Plus, you had a must faster heart-beat than the Shade did. *wink*

Ham: *gets behind her* Here, *messes with the buttons on the gloves behind her* These functions can be used for different types of weapons, such as akimbo or grenades.
