Barn Owl (Tyto alba).

Saw this rather damp Youngster on the way home, shot from the car window, he had obviously managed to catch some dinner and did not take any notice of me other than turning to look at me to get this shot.

I had gone out last night to rescue a bird that appeared to have collided with a car, unfortunately the bird did not survive so i was Happy to see this one doing well.

The recent wet weather is probably making the species suffer badly as they cannot fly for very long in the rain due to their feathers absorbing water, unlike other birds who`s feathers repel water, so rainy weather means less hunting time.
