I made this GLADOS potato to go with my Chell Costume from Portal 2 for Armageddon, an expo we have here.

Costume didn't come out super well so I'm not going to bother posting it. The potato however got a lot of attention, and I was especially thrilled at how much Sandeep Parikh from The Guild liked it when I went to get his autograph. Lovely guy!

Carved from styrofoam and covered in clay, then painted with acrylics.

Carved out holes for the electrical stuff while the clay was still soft, then glued all the components into the styrofoam with a hot glue gun.

I wired a small battery to a switch and the yellow and red LEDs so the lights turn on and off. Am thinking of selling it, but for the moment it's sitting on the display shelf at work.

A surprising number of people thought it was a real potato. What do you guys think?
