I started working on this a few months ago, then got sidetracked by other work... but since I'm trying to beef up my portfolio a bit I decided to finish all the half done pics on my hard drive instead of creating lots of new ones...!!! this is not a paintover, photo manipulation, filtered photo. !!!
this IS a freehand digital painting created with an Aiptek tablet in photoshop with the airbrush tool and the smudge tool, 5 layers (photo reference used, this does not mean I traced it! it means i had a similar looking photo in my lap to refer to for the shading and tones)
approx 8 hours.
(spent about 4 hours on it when i was first doing it then spent another 4 finishing it)

That is soo pretty ! I like the contrast beyween the black and the white. It makes the 'moment' stand out more in my opinion. =]

By some chance meeting of brush and canvas, color palettes have exploded: Heavenly stars, the kiss of lovers, the anger in one's heart lays exposed. All invoked by purely whimsical states, to stare at empathetic facets of pearly white eyes.

to me his hand almost looks like its not even there, which seems cut her head in the picture... i dunno. it was only at first glance......very lovely nonetheless.

I think you do wonderful work, and so quickly, too! I may not be trained in art at all, but I don't think I could do that well even if I was trained for years!
