Posting for the sake of posting. Shame on me!Does anyone have any advice for drawing Dib's gigantic head? My lines always come out too rounded, but there's something off besides that. I've tried breaking his head down into simple shapes, but it hasn't helped.

I know how that is. Before I found this I could not draw a Dib I could look at and say it was bad, I was just way too embarrassed. This is Johnen's very own referance drawing. [link]

do the top of head first then sides then bottum. it always comes out perfect in that order i have no idea how or why.

One of my BEST FRIENDS is emo. Nothing wrong with it. I mean, unless you're a prep and wear would wear pink to a friggin FUNERAL! Besides that, The pic be amazin! Personally, I think you did a WONDERFUL job on Dib's head... and His head isn't THAT big... IDK why people keep saying that...

Well, the head is the same size as ZiM's. I think it turned out fine. Try checking for tutorials on his head. I like the colors the best. Very nice job!

Hmm, this came out great! I love how you use the blue for the sence, which seem to show kind of a depression mood.
About Dibs head, well. There isn't really a good way to avoid his big head XD. But I found out if you change his hair style a bit. It kind of helps to not worry so much of his Huge HEAD XD.

I really love the coloring in this one ;__; The blue monochrome is also pretty.

Hmmm... as for Dib's weird head of smell.... I'm not that great at drawing it either, though I actually have more problems drawings Zim's! But anyway, I guess I usually it is start of drawing a circle to help you keep it in shape and work out the lining for there; just have to keep in mind really that all the characters in the show have very geographical looking heads so everything is at an angle... woah... that didn't help at all. Well he doesn't really have much of a neck, keep in mind of that XD

Have you tried breaking it down to a circle inside of a rectangle? I know you've tried the shapes, but have you tried that combination?
From what I can see, his head needs to be a bit wider at the ears...though, this is an EXCELLENT Dib pic...and after all, perhaps you should keep your style with him! Wouldn't want TWO Jhonens running around...the world can barely handle one. XD
