Description Rowena is intended to be a Celtic demi-goddess of the forest. She is my first painting I've done on Arches 300lb coldpress paper with Yarka watercolors.

I use Yarka watercolours!!!! THis is really cool by the way, I havent gotten that smooth technique down yet.. your shading is excellent

Thanks! I'm really loving the Yarkas! A big difference from student quality Grumbachers...*grin* And I'm glad you like the shading...it's a weakness of mine, so I tried really hard on this one to get it somewhat decent.

Thank you! I was very happy with how her hair turned out...I've had problems in the past trying to find a method of painting hair that works for me, and I think I've finally found one!
