Thanks so much! I'm pretty happy with the way it came out.
I don't really expect to win, my style is not so slick and glamourized as others, but that's ok. Every drawing presents its own challenges and learning experience, and is worthwhile just for the practice.

For many years I drew "like a photograph" -which was considered a negative in my art school (RISD) because why copy a photo? To draw an effective portrait is to put something of yourself into it as well. So let's just say I evolved away from the photo look, into my own style.
Of course, rendering accurately is a must for any likeness to be correct. And I do admire those who can draw like a photo copy, it takes a great deal of skill. It just isn't my style.
