Obviously, this is not the taj itself, but one of the gates that opened up into the central palace complex. Unfortunately the taj itself was undergoing cleaning, so 2 of the 4 great minarets were surrounded by wooden structures for the cleaners to conduct their business from, and the great palace itself therefore lost some degree of its aesthetic appeal.
