The USS Arizona and HJIMS Yamato side by side. The book ends of the massive naval war in the Pacific from December 7th 1941 to April 7th 1945. Both ships and their kind were ended by the Naval Air Power U.S. Army General William Mitchel foretold of in 1923 at his courts martial for insubordination....."Hawaii will be attacked by a skillful and daring airborne assault from the sea and it will be done by the Japanese."

Arizona was armed with twelve 14-inch guns, Yamato with nine 18-inch guns. Arizona was dwarfed in size and weight by her Japanese sister. Between them, the Pacific is littered with the wrecks of hundreds of ships and thousands of their crews that marked the march from a day of infamy for America to a day of insufferable acceptance by Japan.
Let the men who died aboard these ships never be forgotten.
