Description
I did something very important to my well being last month. I didn't celebrate, though I should have. I simply sat and cried a bit, because I was overwhelmed and felt as if a growth that had been festering for years and years had finally been successfully removed. The scar will always remain, but the creature is no longer a part of my life that I have to endure. As far as I am concerned it is dead.I am doubtful I will ever truly forget, but knowing that it cannot reach me and disrupt my daily life gives me a lot of relief. I didn't want to make a painting for this, because I knew that would be a struggle, and it was, but it's done now.

Some part of us will always remain but it's life to learn to live with it, not necessarily in suffering but in some odd form of harmony. There would be no need to succumb to it nor forcefully forget about it, it just is, I believe...
