You'd suspect that, but thats not what is going on.
Thomas (on the left. Rank: Rear Admiral Upper-half.) and Alex (Right, Rank: Captian.) are half brothers. Same father, different mother.
There disputes fueled by jealousy. Alex being Jealous of Thomas his Rank and position of future supreme Admiral of the factional army they serve.
Thomas, Having lost his mother at the age of 10. is jealous of Alex, because he was able to grow up nice and peaceful, while Thomas had nothing but strife and hardship.
P.S: I really need to look into hosting my own Wiki for all this stuff.
