I'm not at all fan of Hetalia. My fangirl period is far behind me (not totally vanished, but I think I'm cured ^^)I love the true History, and above all WWII actors' and victims' memory. That's why I can't appreciate fictions like Power Axis Hetalia (I'm even opposed to this concept).
But some of you have requested a fanart of Ludwig : I saw a graphic potential in this character, so I wanted to face the challenge. I hope the fans will appreciate this picture even if it's not painted by a fan ^^'
(PS : I didn't want to draw the nazi flag, that's why I painted the tricolor)

Was scrolling through Instagram photos of Germany and ran across this pic. It's gorgeous! Unfortunately the first image I saved, didn't have any signs of the original artist, and it took me months to finally find it. I am so glad that I did. I love this. Amazing pic. I love it. And I agree with what you said about Hetalia; I think that humor isn't the right genre for story of our nations... And that's why I watch and read only amazing fan art! (Like this!)
But yeah, I like especially Ludwig's faces and colours you've used. This pic has some mood that I can't explain but I still love it.
And I love Germany's tricolor flag but the nazi flag... It means too much.
