Description
I created this for a client as a custom elven costume. The pieces are all inspired by historical clothing, as well as fantasy and Lord of the Rings, overall creating a really fun blend of historical and fantasy elements. I created for him: a lined wool cloak with custom clasp, an overtunic/cotehardie with hand-finished applique, undertunic, pants, and leg wraps.My main website: [link]

Typically, I find elf costumes to be way impractically designed, as its always based vaguely on nebulous medieval formal wear, but you managed to keep equal parts fantasy, elegance and functionality on this piece.

Wow. All I can manage to say is wow. If only I could make clothes. My aunt was going to teach me, but she died. Bummer. I'd have loved to make something like this. I have a thing for awesome clothes like this. Its why I love Halloween. X3 Incredible work. One day, I'll find a way to learn.

Lovely! Could you be persuaded to give a little info on how you designed the neck? It doesn't look like a Mandarin collar, but sort of a rolled collar, integral to the tunic itself - which I believe is what most of them were in the Peter Jackson films. I tried for hours to design something that would work like this on a costume for my girlfriend, but in the end it just didn't really work.
