DUNA is a Stegosaurus stenops who leads the Sand District Salayssia. Descended from Sophine, she is completely neutral about the growing debate to make contact with the surface. Some believe it will benefit both sides, while others fear a repeat of the Dark Harvest. While she concedes that both sides are right for their own reasons, Duna also believes that they should be sure of the known evidence before a final decision can be made. Some places have proven to be safe and recovered, while others still face lethal threats. Like the other Senators, Duna is being extremely careful with her analysis of the surface in order to determine if Deinolayssia is ready to expand beyond its ten-year immigration consensus; a mistake could spell extinction for the last of the Old Order.
