Chapter 2-5

   The astronauts Glenn and Fuji returned to Earth safely after their encounter with the Xiliens. As they agreed, they are consulting some of their superiors on the idea of trusting the aliens. Some support this, but others are against it.

Kyne: I say this with all due respect. Have you lost your damn mind?!
Aoki: That was with all due respect?
Prime Minister: Kyne has a point.
Aoki: But sir, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Can you imagine the advances these guys may bring?
Kyne: Yeah, I see an advance on Osaka, New York, Paris. The leader even called himself the “Controller”. That doesn’t sound like a red flag?
Fuji: What if the two Kaiju attacking them come down to Earth? They need our help, and we could use theirs.
Glenn: I’m not entirely sure about the Xiliens either, but they know how to cure cancer. Do you really want that opportunity to just slip away?
Prime Minister: *sighs* Fine. We’ll help them fight their Kaiju, but on conditions.

   Later, the GRF is doing runs in preparation for future Kaiju attacks. Suddenly, they hear a strange sound, and from the nearby lake, a large UFO emerges, shaped like a triangle. It lands before the men, and a group of Xiliens led by the Controller walk out.

Nicole: My God, I can’t believe it. An actual alien race that wants to share their intellect with us.
Kyne: If they make one wrong move, we put them down. Listen up; I’m Jacob Kyne of the Godzilla Reaction Force. We currently have 100 guns pointed right at you, so state your business.
Controller: Forgive us for deceiving you, but we were curious about your world, and it was necessary to pinpoint the exact locations of Monster Zero-Three and Monster Zero-Four.
Kimberly: What?
Glenn: He means Godzilla and Anguirus.
Alex: Where are they?
Controller: Monster Zero-Three is resting in this very lake, and Monster-Zero Four is in Mt. Aso. We are preparing to extract them.
Kyne: Dr. Spencer, the astronauts, and I will go with you to make sure you’re not planning any tricks.
Controller: You have our word, my friend. After the exchange, our two worlds will be united.

Kyne, Glenn, Fuji, and Spencer all get in the UFO to join the Xiliens as they prepare the eviction process. As predicted, Godzilla is indeed resting in the lake, and he is pulled up in a tractor beam. At Mt. Aso, another UFO blasts the mountain, revealing the sleeping Anguirus, who is also pulled out. The GRF cheers as the aliens leave with their new assets and guests. Meanwhile, Mikaela is looking for Miss Namikawa. After she searches, she sees her conversing with two Xiliens.

Mikaela: Miss Namikawa? What are those two Xiliens doing here?
Namikawa: I’m glad you could make it, Mikaela.
Xilien 1: If I’m not mistaken, this is the Earthling you mentioned used psychic abilities to calm one of Earth’s megafauna down in a fit of rage.
Mikaela: *stumped* H-how did you know? You guys just came here, so there’s no way you-

   Mikaela starts to feel extremely unsettled around Namikawa and the aliens. Not only is their sudden appearance suspicious, but also even Namikawa is starting to make her feel even more uncomfortable now.

Mikaela: Um, I’m sorry I stumbled into your conversation. I think it’s time for me to go.

   She prepares to turn around and leave, but Namikawa pulls out an alien pistol and fires a ring of energy at Mikaela, stunning her on the spot. They surround the unconscious Mikaela.

Xilien 2: Well done, XLN-2187. Lock her up; her powers are a threat to our colonization.
Namikawa: Yes, Captain.

   In space, the Xiliens continue to make their way to their home planet with their two prizes. They already pass Mars.

Dr. Spencer: The astronauts wore suits on your world. How will Godzilla and Anguirus survive in your atmosphere?
Controller: We have finished producing an oxygen plant to provide certain colonies with the oxygen they need to breathe. The oxygen sphere spans 14 kilometers.
Dr. Spencer: Amazing!
Controller: We possess an intellect and technology far superior to your own. Once we unite, both our futures will change for the better.

   Before long, the UFO’s arrive at Planet X in one of the oxygen rich colonies. And just in time; Monster Zero-One and Monster Zero-Two make their way to the colony.

Kyne: Are these the Kaiju you wanted us to fight? The ones that are terrorizing your world?
Controller: They won’t be for long.

   The aliens release the Kaiju and make it to their sheltered domes just in time. Godzilla and Anguirus wake up to see Monster Zero-One and Monster Zero-Two descending upon them. The fight that follows is brutal. Monster Zero-One flips its bladed arms backwards and unleashes grappling hooks that lodge into Godzilla’s hide, and then he pulls him in towards his chest spikes as they start rotating rapidly like a buzzsaw. Monster Zero-Two rams one of his drills at Anguirus, who turns around and stops it with his armored back. He then raises his clubbed tail and strikes the cockroach-like beast in the head.

Controller: You see? Now they can no longer threaten our people without fear of retaliation.

   As they watch the fight, Spencer sees two Xilien women, and they look identical to Namikawa in every single detail, putting him on edge and in confusion.

Dr. Spencer: What the hell?
Kyne: What?
Dr. Spencer: Those two women over there? They look exactly like Namikawa…
Kyne: Your new girlfriend? That’s strange…

   Monster Zero-One pulls Godzilla closer, cutting him open with his buzzsaw and spilling blood. Godzilla then grabs his arms and fires an atomic blast, pushing the cyborg Kaiju far into a mountain beyond the oxygen field. Meanwhile, Monster-Zero Two unleashes fiery bombs from its mouth, but this doesn’t stop Anguirus, who curls into a tight ball and smashes into him. The aliens recover, but instead of continuing the fight, they flee. Monster-Zero One flies out into space, while Monster Zero-Two drills underground. Godzilla and Anguirus roar out in victory.

Controller: A happy moment.
Glenn: It worked a lot easier than I expected.
Fuji: We honored our end of the agreement, now how about that Miracle Drug you promised us?
Controller: A deal is a deal.

   They hand the humans what looks like a golden tape. They look at it in confusion.

Controller: This holographic message will contain instructions on how to make the drug by human means. We thank you for saving our world, friends.
Kyne: What about Godzilla and Anguirus?
Controller: Monster Zero-Three and Monster Zero-Four will remain on our world for study. As soon as our studies are complete, we will return them to Earth in isolated regions to ensure civilization’s safety.
Dr. Spencer: Thank you, sir. Humanity owes you a great debt of gratitude.

They shake hands with one another and board a ship to return to Earth. They look down on the planet as Godzilla and Anguirus look up into the black sky. The Xiliens seem to be honoring their word, but some of what Spencer saw has also made him wary. He wondered to himself if they were doing the right thing. Then he had to ask himself, what if Miss Namikawa was an Xilien spy put on Earth?
