[The Ancient Monster | The “Prince” of Monsters]
“An ancient Kaiju from the Johnson Islands. It once held a rivalry with King Caesar and Behemoth species’. One of the crystal meteorites woke it from its slumber and led to a confrontation with Ultraman and the Science Patrol.”

Despite SpaceGodzilla causing utter chaos with his Kaiju and Ultraman Belial, Japan has not forgotten the threat of Shin Gojira and information comes to light of a Kaiju with a very similar make up to the creature has been found in the Johnson Islands; Shin Gomora. The Science Patrol is deployed on a research mission to retrieve and study the creature.
They locate Gomora, however, unlike the reports indicated Gomora is no longer asleep and SpaceGodzilla’s Crystal Meteorites have decimated the main Island which the Kaiju called home. Gomora is active and extremely pissed off at being woken up and finding his home destroyed.
They attempt to sedate the creature for study and extract data and samples although it only works for a short time. Gomora, now furious, sets a course for the Aircraft Carrier that brought the team to the islands. The military responds however are unable to even scratch Gomora. Thankfully Gomora doesn’t appear to have ShinGoji’s ability to adapt, only his invulnerability.
Ultraman appears to lure Gomora away from the aircraft carrier however Gomora proves to be an indomitable opponent and pummels the Ultra long after his colour timer activates. Growing bored with the Ultra and the human forces, Gomora goes off to try and destroy the crystal meteorite damaging its islands. The Science Patrol regroups after this humiliating defeat. Hayata has other concerns as he lost the Beta capsule in the fight which allows him to turn into Ultraman.
Monarch offers to provide more sedatives to try and knock out Gomora again and send the Argo in to assist as any information concerning ShinGoji is priceless and an opportunity such as Gomora will not present itself again. A young Monarch cadet named Riku Asakura is among the Monarch operatives sent on the Gomora mission.
The Science Patrol moves on ahead with its plans despite Hayata’s misgivings. Monarch and the JSDF launchs a full on assault on Gomora resulting in the loss of its tail. The tail however acts in a similar manner to Shin’s appearing to have some low level intelligence and continuing to lash out despite being severed. The tail is soon destroyed and Gomora is tagged with a tracking device before it burrows underground. The tracking device is activated and the prototype Land Moguera is sent after it.
Land Moguera is able to force Gomora to surface before it can use the Hollow Earth to reappear in a civilised area. Meanwhile Asakura finds Ultraman’s beta capsule and disobeys Col. Foster in order to try and get it back to its owner, Hayata. On the way there, Gomora surfaces between the Science Patrol and Asakura and he is forced to transform into Ultraman Geed despite his friend Pega’s advice. Asakura tasks Pega to give the Beta Capsule back to Hayata while he and Land Moguera distract Gomora as best they can, Moguera managing to at least injure the monsters back. Gomora proceeds to badly beat the young Ultra and destroy Moguera however Pega succeeds and Ultraman arrives to help and knock Gomora out with his specium ray.
After the Science Patrol finishes it’s study of Gomora, Hayata tracks down and finds the young Riku Asakura who is being punished for his disobedience. He offers Riku and Pega a position in the Science Patrol alongside himself as Ultraman. The two gladly accept the position.

Height: 75 metres
Attributes:
Plasma Missiles
High Endurance and Invulnerability
Lightning. Unlike Shin who fires Photon beams most of Gomora’s attacks are Plasma based rather than Photon based
Horn Plasma blast, a U shaped plasma blast fired from it’s crest.
Plasma Ring.
Similar Genetic Makeup to Shin Gojira. Lacks adaptive abilities that made Shin so dangerous however.
Because of this similar Genetic makeup, Gomora is nicknamed ‘The Prince of Monsters’ to ShinGoji’s ‘King of the Monsters’.
Can burrow however its size slows it down.
Powerful tail. It’s tail can cause serious damage to unsuspecting opponents.
Plasma Blast. An enormous Blast Gomora can generate from the crest that stun and cause enormous damage if struck head on.
Gomora is more of a Physical fighter and does not use his plasma attacks as often, often making him harder to ‘tire’ out.

Personality:
Gomora is temperamentally calmer than most Kaiju unless his home is threatened or he is outright attacked. He is very similar to Kong in this respect.
Normally keeps to himself.
Quiet.
Does NOT like Ultras after the Science Patrol mission.
Gets along with other Kaiju.
Has a deep Rivalry with King Caesar.
The Behemoth Species also have issues with Gomora however the two species tend to avoid each other. Conflicts don’t often happen unless provoked by one or the other.
Can be called upon in a fight by the Gojira’s and often serves as a tank as Gomora’s endurance is often unrivaled.
One of the few creatures ShinGoji tolerates. This may be due to their similar Genetic structures.
After the humans attacked Gomora, ShinGoji sent Biollante to his Island to protect and seal an alliance. Biollante proceeded to destroy any humans and structures left on the Island. She then proceeded to use the Crystal Meteorite to power herself up.
Biollante and several Shin Humanoids begin to repair and rebuild the Islands under Gomora’s watchful eye.

MONARCH NOTES:
Ultraman Geed’s threat level is not yet classed
The reappearance of Biollante and several Shin Humanoids alongside Gomora has become a major concern for Monarch.
Attempts to contact Dr Serizawa have remained unanswered.
Shin Gojira has become restless in the past few weeks. It is unknown if this is due to the SpaceGodzilla or other factors.
Legendary Godzilla was last seen heading to Atlantis.
Fukuoka has since been evacuated and the SpaceGodzilla’s crystals appear to have formed a ‘fortress’ of sorts with Fukuoka Tower at it’s centre. The Fortress is being guarded by the Kaijus designated Jirass, Hedorah and Orga.
