Description This is the last remake of the Keeper of the Faith, I promise.
The turn around was made for the contest being held by #Model Sheet Central

Although the KotF is part of a project I am doing, this is one of those really long shots, so it is completley open for anyone to make use of the character for non comercial use, create a 3d model, have fun with it, ect. ect.

Actually anyone wanting to turn this into a 3d? my answer is HELL YES! Just give proper credit and I am more than happy.

The keeper is part of the Gladius Dei project.
What is the Gladius Dei?

Character info:
The Keepers assault troops of the Gladius Dei. Being able to use angelic weapons, they can smite down the evil that infests the world.

Keeper of the Faith is armed with twin six-shooters forged from a broken celestial sword. When placed together they unleash their true potential and turn into a flaming sword.

Critique:

This is a really nice character. I like how badass she looks. The costuming detail is very nice and rich, I especially like the accessories.

My main critisism here would be the feet. They are really strangely proportioned, it reminds me a bit of chinese foot binding. If the purpose is to have strange feet, perhaps it would be good to push it a bit more, as they currently look like a mistake. Perhaps do a figure sketch over what you have without the costume to see where every part of her body sits inside the bulkier pieces.

The head wrap really gives that extra sense of a religious character, as covering your head is usually associated with faith and the church. I also like all the dangly bits, she has a nice asymetry to her.

Great work!

"Here at least we shall be free; the Almighty hath not built here for his envy, will not drive us hence: Here we may reign secure, and in my choice to reign is worth ambition, though in Hell: Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven."

For when God cast out the Rebel Angels, he casts them down to Earth, thus Satan rules Hell on Earth.

Thanks. The Rosary and the shroud were actually the first elements I though off when doing her. It got to the point that I have no idea how she would look without them.

you're welcome and ya, haha, it's kinda amusing when that happens 'cuz then they're just as much of a mystery to you as they are to other people in some respects XD

Great job. This looks like it could be from Fable II!

I had not seen what the last Fable art looked like. I love it and can see taking some inspiration from it. Thanks for the coment.

I never realized just how much work one of these is. And just think, If the Gladius project takes off I need to make one of these for EVERY single character.

heh heh yep, that's why production companies often hire multiple artists for it. Unless the single artist obtains a knack for illustrating uber fast with precision.

Which explains why they subcontract sweat shops in third world countries.

Unfortunately yes, and we qualified artists get the shaft so they can pay those guys on cheaper payrolls.......Damn the system.

And that is why you make your own projects. Wait till your in the system a few years. In times of resetion you learn you have to do your own stuff and try to get it to work.
