Description
Regretfully I've had to close these requests, as due to real life stuff (as it so often is), I'm no longer able to keep up with all the incoming requests. All existing requests will be honoured, so if you're on the list, your button will be done eventually. I'll also be accepting any requests made before this update.
I really don't like the idea of being yet another button maker who came and vanished, so this is a bit of a difficult decision to make. I hope that in the future I'll be able to open them up again, or find a way to help people make their own buttons, like a button maker program or something.
Anyway, thanks for all the requests, I'll get them done eventually
You may order as many buttons as you like, however to keep things fair for everyone I will complete orders in batches of two.
For example: if you order four buttons, the first two will be added to the queue, and the remaining two will be kept in a waiting list until the first two are completed. Then the remaining two will be added to the queue and completed when I get to them.
You can also request buttons which feature a group of characters, including ships.
If you'd like a button, feel free to post a comment here, on my profile, or send me a note, with the following:
Character Name:The name you'd like to appear on the button.
Character Image:
- A particular image you'd like me to use for the button. This can be your own art, or someone else's (but not mine, I'm no artist!
).
- If you can't think of one, feel free to point me to a folder or something of your character's art (again can be your own or other people's) and I'll choose one I think will work best.
- If another artist's work is chosen for the button, I'm more than happy to ask them myself for permission to use it, although the button may take a little longer to make as a result. If you get their permission before asking for a button, please tell me so I don't have to bother.
- Images with backgrounds aren't a problem as I'm able to remove them.
- Finally, the creator of the image will always be credited in the description.
- Regarding toyhou.se collections: I've noticed an increase in people linking me to toyhou.se collections of their oc's art recently. I would greatly appreciate it if you could link me directly to the deviantart page of your oc's art if possible as this makes it a lot easier for me to get permission from, and properly credit artists.
Background (Optional):Usually I choose the background colour(s) based on what I think looks best given the character's colour scheme, however, if you have something specific in mind, feel free to ask.
Flat colours, gradients and simple patterns shouldn't be a problem, and if you have something more complex in mind, just ask and I'll let you know if it's possible. ^-^
Text Style (Optional):By default, I use the classic rounded white text with a black outline, but if you'd like a different colour scheme for the text, or even a different font, then feel free to ask for this too.
Gifting Buttons:Requesting buttons as a surprise gift for someone is no problem, and works almost exactly the same as usual with one exception: if the person receiving the button is also the person who owns the art to be used for the button. In this case, I will not ask them for permission to use their art (since that would ruin the surprise) and skip straight to making the button. When it's complete I'll upload it to my stash as usual and give you the link. You can then present the button to them however and whenever you like, and while doing so, ask them if it's okay that their art is used for the button. If they're happy with it, I'll upload the button to dA as usual, otherwise we'll have to arrange to use a different image. Hope that makes sense
Other Stuff: Here are some examples of buttons I've made previously to give you an idea of what you can expect. Note that the buttons I've made have gradually improved over time, so the most recent ones are the most accurate. (Also, if I made you an old button and you'd like me to upgrade it, feel free to ask ^-^)
When the button is complete, I'll upload it to my stash and send you a link so you can tell me if there's any changes you'd like me to make.
Finally, when you're happy with it, I'll upload it to dA and mention you in the description along with the code to add it to your page. (Don't worry about how large the buttons are, the code scales then down to the correct size)
