Short Description:
Anubis, in ancient Egyptian mythology, was a god of death, and the reaper of souls. His head was that of a jackal, and body of a man. He is usually associated with scythes, and he is one of the embalmers of the human body during mummification for royalty.
Artistβs Comments:
We have a project in my class to paint the columns outside. We decided on the theme for "all around the world." So I was assigned with Egypt. And of course, I had to put the god of death on there.
So here's the sexy god of death, Anubis. You'll see him on my column, along with a planned cosplay!

Pencil for Sketch, Ballpoint pen for inking. Sharpies for coloring.

Wow, this is awesome! I love Egyptian mythology. Osiris is my favourite, but Anubis still rocks too. xD Anyway, I really like how bold this is! The colours are great and the thick line art really makes it stand out. This would actually make a pretty cool tattoo design, I think! Great job!

Oh! Thanks! I wish I had photoshop or something so I could download a papyrus kinda texture, and then stick this on it, but eh, it came out good anyway! I tried for Ancient Egyptian style, a bit. Meh.
