Finally finished this commission. It would have been done weeks ago but I was just too damn busy. I had it sketched out 2 weeks ago, did the linework on Wednesday and colored about 1/3 of it, got it to about 50% done on Thursday, and finished it tonite. Black dogs take forever. Almost 2 black colored pencils died during the creation of this piece. I hope the client's happy with it.Now I just have two more to do for the same client. They shouldn't take anywhere near as long. Cuz the dogs aren't mostly black. . .and I actually have free time again!
Lineart done in Micron, colored with Prismacolor colored pencils (and one Faber Castell) on Strathmore paper.

Well, he does have a bit of a small head to body ratio, but it's a bit smaller than it should be. My preference is for larger heads too. . .
I'm not at all happy with how these two commissions turned out. But I never really expect to be.
