Day 43: Banuk
“Strangers couldn’t understand the Banuks connection with Nature and the Machines. But the Banuks didn’t care. They lived in the Great White, where the Snow was forever and the Storm never ending. They were able to listen to the Music and they were able to repeat it. They were able to see the Piture, and they were able to paint it.”
This is the daily art of my personal 365 days art challenge: I draw a new character every day, focusing on scifi concepts.
This piece is highly influenced by Horizon Zero Dawn. If you played the game, you know the Banuk. Between the people you come across while playing is the one I found more fascinating because of the deep connection they feel with the Machines, not seeing them as evil; they seem to actually be the only ones that tries to tie a bond (if they are able or not, see it yourself). I also loved their artistic aspect and the fact they took the risk of climbing peeks and mountains just to write there their stories (in those cool geometric shapes): I think this resembles a lot what human kind did in the past and the fact that human beings want to leave a trace of what they have been.
You can suggest new characters or details: just write it in the comments and I will take note.
Favs, comments and watch are super appreciated.
My art belongs to me, be kind and don’t steal it, thank you!
