Ripplepaw, his apprentice, was bu his side "this is Cragclans border!" he announced loudly "quite cats, though rather dangerous, keep you eyes ope-" he stopped and looked at the little brown bird dead on the grassy flor of the forest. he bent down and sniffed it. "cragclan!" he snarled "have been here!"

Very nice. I like their different poses and the forest is well done. 
hmm now I'll have to start thinking about how to make mine fit this story.
