Dangaso, the king of redraws is back! Here's a redraw of a redraw a year ago of a piece a year ago lololI drew the first one in OCT 2015, and the next one on OCT 2016. I'm quite happy with my progress eventhough I had a small halt this past months~

Fantastic progression over the time! I love your use of colour and the movement in her hair. It really seems the wind has caught her! Let me start by saying that this portrait really appealed to me even as a thumbnail. You definitely have that cool factor and you have improved A LOT, and I mean, A LOT! I love that you have moved on from using harsh outlines and it shows that you have really done a lot of research and practice on shading and color theory. The warmth of the highlights against the cool shadows really bring this to life. You have also really mastered your lines - they are much cleaner, have nice variation and flow. I like how you varied your shading technique - somewhere smooth, other places sharp. You have also done a great job of combining realism and cartoon.
Now, it is a simple portrait and I admit drawing characters is much more interesting than making backgrounds but I think it could benefit from a simple background. You could check fdasuarez 's modern princesses series for an idea of what I mean.
My favourite aspects of this would be the cute nose, which manages to escape from that boring old triangle I see everywhere in anime; and the colors, I love how earthy they are and how they compliment each other. The thing I like least is the eyes - I think they need to be sharp, not blurry and the shade of cyan you have used kind of clashes with the softer tones of the rest of the painting.
Now as far as originality goes it isn't something that stands out to me, but I like that the pose is a bit different than a simple front view, it has some movement to it which is interesting.
I think the subtle texture of her clothes is a nice touch and I do hope with time you will continue to integrate more and more complex textures into your painting.
