Yeah, I use PixelsQuid since they were "born" as an extension of Turbosquid and they were a free site. I just wish they could have more fantasy stuff.

I agree, I feel they have a bigger proportion of items used for corporate product packaging and brochures, and their more artsy and fantasy stuff is lacking indeed. I do love the seasonal collections the most, it's what had me convinced to sign off for a recurring sub, they are absolutely great for making backgrounds 
I used to render things myself for art but before finding them and Pixelsquid saves me so much time! They have a request form so maybe we can reach out to them to see if they can add more fantasy things for artists like us. I'd especially like some fantasy type structures (they only have a few castles), elven things, fantasy weapons like staves, wings of all kinds, etc.

I made a request about fantasy itens specially some fantasy horns and wings too.
They replied my form telling that they will consider my suggestions but depends on artists to do, so... we just have to sit and wait... Perhaps, if they get more forms asking the same things, maybe it will make them take us seriously. I hope so!

I wrote them aswell requesting things like wings of all kinds (devil, angel, fairy), mermaid tails and fins, fantasy gear - armor pieces and weapons, notably staves and scepters (they have many swords). Hopefully some of their 3D artists can render a handful of these things

They offered me a similar reply that they have to ask the artists and there needs to be a bigger, but hopefully soon we'll see more of these fantasy things. I saw they added a medieval collection so that's one step in that direction

Ok a question for you if I can... these vivid colors you always get, do you always overpaint the elements with them? I'm quite sure just rising saturation doesn't do that heehee, at least it doesn't for me! xD

This psd is huge, on this work I created 3 layers as clipping mask on each object: 1 multiply (to darken), 1 overlay (to brighten in an specific color) and 1 color (to remain in an specific color). In the end, I also painted the edges of the original layer of each object with a brush in overlay mode (of the brush, not layer), and added some glow (well, this is so "me", hahaha!!). I hope the explanation makes sense to you, sorry if my English is confusing!

Not confusing at all.
So, a lot of color work went into it. Amazed that you can do it so fast. I would spend hours trying to figure out what colors to use for each layer and never end.
Also, love that you used mostly 3D stock, it's pretty much impossible to tell it is 3D! ^.^

Haha I disagree on that. Lazy would be if you picked up whatever photo or 3D model and left it as is in the final work. Looking for quick sources of stock photos is... smart. 
In fact, if I had the cash for the subscription I'd have it. xD I love the fact that you can rotate the models around, gotta be the best idea ever. ^.^
