very nice. The use of shading is very subtle, and on the pants especially it gives a sense of the material's texture. On the jacket, less so.
The sword is pretty good too. the transition from the metallic gray to the sheen of the white is well done, and although I know the blue hues are meant to be part of the magical glowing effect, they add to the texture of the sword serendipitously 
On the bright side though, it seems you've found a way of drawing details that still remain clear and visible when the picture is smaller. I don't need to fullview this to see the zippers on the pockets or the holes in the belts and wristbands, or see that there's detailing on the buckles. It gives the picture a nice sense of completeness-- the little specific details blend into the overall whole.
As for the head... my only issue is that the ears look a little off.... like they're too thin and vertical. I get the sense that's meant to be foreshortening, but it doesn't actually match up with the angle the head is tilted at. :/

Okay, first off, thanks a lot for the words. I agree. The sword reflex seems like just dumped in there, even though I devoted myself to adjust all other details accordingly-- that's really a combo-breaker. I'll take not of that.
Oh the ears, the ears. I'll need to practice more canine faces. I have no excuses there-- it is lack of practice and the only way to fix it is to practice.
Thanks! I do hope I get more assigments soon. Until then I'll be revising my skills and improving where I deem most necessary, starting by those points you highlighted. Time to grow more fond of the mammals.
