Description Quite intrigued by that triangle of light in Tony's chest on new photos from Infinity War set, so I've drawn my own version of what's going on.
Probably it's a new Arc Reactor, but what if it's the Infinity Stone?..
BTW, Tony's kinda nervous without his shirt on. Makes him feel defenseless.

Photoshop, around 2,5 hours.

I noticed that too, like how his Mk 3 (or4?) also had a triangle shaped arc reactor on I2. Although this would be considered AU I guess since in Ironman 3 he had the shrapnel from his heart removed so he longer needs an arc reactor in his chest.

Hi! Long time no see, since I was away from DA all the time. Nice to see you.

Mark III was the first MCU red&gold armor, that was in IM1. The first one with triangular chest RT was Mark VI (IM2). Mark VII had round RT again, armors between MK8 and MK41 had variable (I can't remember most of them since they had too little time on the screen), MK42 (IM3), MK43 (Age of Ultron), MK44 (Hulkbuster) - round RT, MK45 and on (late Age of Ultron - now) - round but with triangular/trapezoid framing.

Yes, he had shrapnel removed, but in CA:CW he seems to suffer from cardiac angina (after he talks to Ross, he puts a hand on his chest and complains of numbness in his left arm). He had it in the comics, too. I think if his heart condition will worsen he might need a pacemaker again, and that's where Arc Reactor returns.

Ah ok, that makes more sense, thanks for clarifying more since I lack much knowledge about the marvel movies XD

In fact, MCU background for Arc Reactor is quite confusing. They say it powers an electromagnet that keeps the shrapnel from entering Tony's heart (which is not very realistic, I've seen a wound like that once - a floating piece of shrapnel inside the heart, patient didn't need any electromagnet, he needed to maintain a certain position to prevent shrapnel from moving, anticoagulants and surgery as soon as he could be transferred to a cardiosurgical facility).
But:
1. When Stane takes the Arc Reactor from Tony in IM1, Tony goes/crawls to his lab, where we can hear his heartbeat at rate 36 BPM. So he obviously needs a pacemaker.
2. When Steve Rogers reads Tony's SHIELD file in Avengers deleted scene, it clearly says that Arc Reactor powers his pacemaker. I can't remember whether that SHIELD file was in the final cut, so I don't know if it can be considered canon, but pacemaker would make much more sense than electromagnet.
(Still, Marvel's medical facts are quite unreal, and I turned my brain off at the moment I saw Tony implant a fist-sized reactor in his chest. It's often said it would reduce his lung capacity, but in fact, implant that big wouldn't have left place for his heart to be there at all inΒ  the first place).

Fascinating explanation, also the fact it he probably can recharge his devices with is a plus πŸ˜…

Good work, he looks like RDJr!

Thanks!
I still have two other theories:
1. It could be the Infinity Stone, because Tony had one in his head in Ultimate Comics Ultimates (confused for a brain tumor) and in his chest in Avengers Assemble S02E07.
2. It could be comething worn outside to quickly project the entire Iron Man suit over his body.

Those are interesting theories! Tony wouldn't be satisfied with just having his armor in a briefcase, so the second idea makes a lot of sense!

Bob Layton sees the Movie concept for his briefcase armor he created for Invincible Iron Man.

Interesting, here he looks like a robot humanoid more than an human, because this grey skin makes him like a kind of iron and these eyes are like a robot technology

Interesting I intended to colour it, but then I started shading it in B&W and decided to leave it this way. But I like your point of view. He is Iron Man, after all!)
