Description
This was a Ronin Warriors commission I did recently. I slapped a big ugly water mark on it for deviantart, just to try to be a fair and decent person to the buyer. Someone should commission me for a painting of Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist. I've been wanting to paint him alchemying the shit out of the ground.Related content

Here's one I'm talking about. It has a very drybrush acrylic feel to it. When I do stuff like this it always comes out looking so flat.
If you ever remember or figure out how to articulate your method for this I would love to see a tutorial.

I used a textured chalk-ish brush for it, that might have something to do with the look you're talking about.

Crap. At first I didn't mind if the hair kinda melted into the BG, because I wanted the BG to contrast the armor color. But now it bugs me.
