My final project from jewelry class, handcrafted from sheet metal and wire!It's strange how these were all operations I had used in previous projects but none in the same way as before. I found I'm not fond of sharpie resist for etching and I've sawed more jump rings that I ever cared to.
Yep, I made that chain. It's a Bird Nest weave!
Uh... the stone is more red in person. I think that's about all I need to say.

As far as jump rings are concerned, have you considered the use of a electric rotary tool with abrasive cutoff discs? Saves a ton of sawing time!

If that had been an option for the class, I would have done it but since it was a beginning course, we had to do everything by hand. I'll keep that in mind if I ever need to make jump rings again!
I took the class at Humboldt State University. The jewelry professor there is astounding and made a living off her jewelry work for many many years until she decided to teach.
