Description
The home page of the newest version of my Personal portfolio,still a bit of work on it to do and the responsive versions.
And still have to finish my logo.

Thanks DaJyDesigns, i have to say i agree with everything you said,
i have worked more on this design and when i did i noticed that some of the alignment was off.
I have made quite a few changes and will upload the updated version as soon as i get a day to work.

Those were just some pointings from my side, but that doesn`t mean you have to change it. Your work should stay as you like it, not as other people tel you, maybe that person don`t knows what they say and you make the changes for the worse.
If you see the mistakes than it`s good, choose the changes that you think are better than now.

Some critics on the whole aspect.
I can see a bit of orange underneath the 1st button tagged with JM in the left upper corner.
Also the cover has tiles in it. I can see 4 rows in that navy blue.
other than that, looks impeccable.

Nice, clean and unusual design.
But this will be bad for viewing at laptop/notebook resolution 1280x800.

I really like this. Your color and placement choices are quite good. Very clean and usable design. My one criticism would be that I can definitely see some seams in the dark blue tiling texture you're using at the top of the page. You might want to make those edges blend a little better, or as a last resort, maybe drop the contrast and make it more uniformly dark blue. I wouldn't change anything else though, nice job.

yea i have noticed that too, i quite liked the seems but they won't be there, i will be
optimizing the texture, making it alot smaller and seamless for the web

That is some very nice work. I'm looking to get into web design professionally and that sets the bar for me. Most of my stuff looks pretty pedestrian compared to that design.

I wish that was true, i haven't done any real work for anybody yet.
I want to get my skills to a good level before charge anyone for what i do.
The way i think of it is if i would pay for it then i'd be happy to charge someone.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist, even this design has been modified quite a bit from what is currently here but now i'm thinking maybe i should leave it alone lol.

The view for date, category and comments looks very much like the smashing mag, but it's very effective, so why not?
I personally like your logo, it's rare that developers go for something handwritten and signature like. One thing I don't understand is the love for Dreamweaver, but we all have our favourites

Yea i only found that recently and beats Lorem anyday lol.
Yep your right about the 'post meta' it's very similar to smashing mag but it wasn't on purpose, i just wanted to use simple icons and those where in the icon pack i was using.
But they were influenced in the end by smashing mag, it does look very nice and works well.

When i first started with webdesign it was with Dreamweaver, now i write the code myself without the help of dreamweaver but still wrote in dreamweaver as it's the only code editor i've used, i payed plenty to get it along with the creative suite so why not lol.
It works for me because it's all i know and i use windows.

I do agree with the comments, the typography is nice. The only thing I wasnt sure about (since you were asking for feedback) is your logo in the top left corner. I knew it was your logo from browsing through your gallery but maybe you could put your name by it to...it could just be me. Most people may see it as your logo already. I just don't know about non-artist type people. They don't always catch everything.

Na i won't be using the older version, not completely sure wether i'll
