it's pretty good
but the nose is a bit large, her right arm(?)? seems to be too large in the middle, it looks more as if someone is pushing the skin than it being in a normal, idle look.
other wise, maybe start adding light sources to your pieces? could make it look more lively.Β

thanks
i know the nose is too large and that her arms look as if pressure has been applied to both, but i'd already uploaded it by this point and i doubt i'll go back and redo it.
mm, i've tried before and it doesn't really work too well, but thanks for the advice.

i know it was just to point it out- try to fix it next time.
no problem, be sure to try to practise pushing yourself somewhat at the least or you'll have a hard time improving with things.

aw this is perf. I really like how you did her shirt and hair (i mean i always like the hair but yes XD
The pose and stuff is really cool and maybe this is a personal preference but like I find the lines are perhaps a couple of pixels too thick? I do like the background Β too tho yes

thank u. I lost the brush settings to do the shirt myself, so I kind of had to cheat and use a texture ;-; but yiss, I was happy with her hair - it looks kinda fluffy c:
I screwed up with the hand that's a little more twisted, but hey ho. Hnngh, yes, I kinda returned to my thicker lineart style for this because I got lazy and couldn't be bothered with thinner lineart and the colouring issues it poses OTL Thank you, again c:

lol Dw, I'd have used a texture. Yes her hair is perf.
I didn't notice about the hand XD You're still better at poses than myself XD

I felt so proud the first time I ever drew her because I had made the Tshirt and texture all by myself - but then I was stupid and deleted some blotmaps (or whatever they're called) from my brush list and they were the brushes I kinda needed. Oops.
Shh no, I just spam references and forget to mention when I upload - and I suppose I kinda jumped in at the deep end and came away from headshots quicker than you did~

"Came away from headshots quicker than I did?" Whats that supposed to mean? I'm sorry but just because I prefer one type of image to another doesn't mean anything, I dont know how you intended that statement but it comes across as quite rude.

I'm really sorry, I didn't intend to come across as rude; not at all. I just meant that because I've had (possibly) longer to experiment with anatomy because of the choices I made with my art, that may be why you thought I was better with poses? I was in no way trying to be condescending or anything like that; I have nothing against headshots or artists who draw them - in fact, those who spend more time with less of the body to draw seem to pay more attention to detail. I am very sorry that you found what I said rude - it was in no way meant to be taken like that.Β

StephanieLockey In reply to DaniiRoo [2014-02-04 00:12:17 +0000 UTC]
I prefer headshots because I enjoy drawing faces and put a lot of detail into them because that's what I enjoy, its just my style, full anatomy just doesn't look too good with it, and yes I do struggle with anatomy but I do practice and dont often feel its how I personally want to convey the image.
I guess its ok just please consider what you're saying in future because the way it was worded just sounded like a jab at my work in which some full pieces probably take as much time and effort as yours, whatever the reason may be for that.

And I really like your headshot work, as well as your full bodied works. I am also aware that you practice anatomy, but are perhaps more selective than I of what you upload because you share your best, whereas I personally post whatever I've done - even if it's half-assed.
I know, and I mean it when I say I'm sorry and that it wasn't a jab at your work or anything like that. I appreciate that your work takes as much time and effort, if not more, to produce; I wasn't trying to demean that or any aspect of your work with that statement.
