I'm glad you haven't gone for the now overused slow shutter technique. The option to freeze the motion captured my attention. This is a stunning shot and I like that there are subtle hints of other colours rather than just green, and the composition and reflection is great too.
A nice bright and vibrant image. Great work.

Thank you. Sometimes the slow shutter is nice, but in this intense I prefer it to be sharp. I like the way water looks when it has crisp edges. Anyways, thanks again I am very glad you like this image.Β

I can picture myself taking a swim there. Is so beautiful and the water is so clean.

Water is not deep. This is man made and is a public display. I don't think you would want to swim there.

This is a wonderful picture. I can only wish it was a video (not a hint; just saying), because I could sit and stare at this waterfall for hours. The sound of tumbling water is soothing, and the motion both relaxes and stimulates my mind. Oddly enough, there was a miniature, artificial waterfall outside the restaurant to which we took our mother on Sunday. Odd choice, but classy, with plates of rock (fake?) letting the cascading water tumble and rumble. Ah, but to see this one as you did!
Thanks for posting!

It's very relaxing, especially during member hours because there are less people, and if we're lucky it's just my husband and I. The Japanese garden is a lovely experience.
You're welcome!

This is a great scene! Next time you go, try using a tripod... slowing the shutter down as much as you can and the running water will make a blurred effect that will make this even more beautiful. (in my opinion). -Mark

Sadly, I don't have a tripod for this camera. It's my friend's. Her tripod is missing a part, but yeah I would love to do something like that.

Yeah, it's very lovely. My husband and I have a membership there, and go as often as we can.
