Description Walk across the aisle
Where your Stygian Bride
Awaits.

Swarthy skin 'neath the veil
'long with another fate.

There was a gown
Across the floor,
A Bouquet of
wine at her side;

While a smile played the piano keys;
Her teeth decayed within.
Through the film you look upon,
Through the film you see

That Death is staring back at you,
Back at you and me.

This shows a lot of skill and knowledge. Nicely done. I think you are the first one I have read outside myself and a published poet that used the word "Stygian". Most people will have to look that up, so nice job there too!

LOL, well, I honestly did cheat and used my thesaurus app on my iTouch. However, I'd already heard/seen it, just never thought of it. To me, it had never meant a colour of deepest black, it had meant pertaining to the River Styx, which is death.

So when I learned it could also mean black, I pulled a " Instant inspiration, just add a keyboard!" and whipped out this thing. ♥

I used it in it's more common form--pertaining to the river Styx. But yes, it's an interesting word with more than one meaning like most words are. Always fun to make someone go to the dictionary, as long as you don't do it too much. Nice work again.
