Since the last piece, I felt like I had to give Artorat a little update in his looks. Just a simple inked bust portrait of the guy. He's one of the more seasoned soldiers in Haze's legion. He's in fact Haze's own Centurion and responsible for ten dekuria. In Droran, (Not irl roman military system) a Centuria consists of ten Decuria, which results in a maniple with a headcount between 100 and 80. If it goes below 80, new soldiers are recruited into the Centuria.
Artorat differs from most of the high rank soldiers in the army in the way he almost entirely neglects armor and trinkets. The most valuable idems on his person is his sword, his Krothan Raven cane and his ancestral iron pins that keeps his cape around his shoulders. Centurions are mostly given the best armor available in the army and often glimmer in valuable trinkets and personal items, to make them stand out from the regular soldiers. Centurions in the Naronian army rarely see direct combat when battle comes. In stead they carry orders and strategies to their hornblower, who in turn gives the signals to the Decurions in the maniple. That said, they're in no sence less formidable fighters. They have their position because of experience and the way they have been standing out as fierce warriors.
