Thank you so much!^^
I do really like how this one came out, therefor I've let this stay as a representation of my art at the moment. Armor, weapons and historical references are huge interests of mine. There's nothing more boring than a high fantasy clonker suit, that can't be worn in real life without killing the one wearing it.Β
I kept the background simple, mostly because I were tired at that point, but I think it divided the focus rather plesantly :3
Thanks again!^^

Considering your gallery and how much you like furries, I'm surprised you haven't read Redwall. An excellent book! And, I'm sure, an excellent series! (i've actually only read the first one) And you're right, Brian Jacques is a good author to study for inspiration on that sort of thing. Plus, he's really fun in the way he writes out character accents. If you get his books on tape, he's the one to read the narration (though they have different actors do the different character parts) and you can tell he really get into it. I just adore him as an author.Β

I wouldn't be surprised. I found the digital audio file through my local library system. I'm old school like that I guess.

I've just realized it looks like The Skyrim Guards armor, mixed up with Japanese and Roman armors.

My first design of this armor came well before skyrim, but it's true that I've taken quite alot of inspiration from both roman, japanese, chinese and persian military equipment.

Been meaning to come back and comment on this.
Just wow. Such a delicate, deliberate use of color that doesn't sacrifice any of that stunning ink detail. Seriously beautiful, man!

I'm actually not using ink :3Β
I'm doing a finnishing linework with a gentle hand and a small brush. The lines here are a very concentrated dark blue.
And serious thanks, my friend!^^Β

Good to see it on somebody. It does make it easier to guess how the
armor fits for different combat styles... now that we have arms to it.
The classic sword shield combination is probably good off with this
armor, since it's light armor with a lot of freedom for arm-movement.

Pretty much - as usual - an accurate analysis. Other practical functions with the armor is that it keeps your back supported during long marches with lots of heavy gear and necessities. It's also made so that you can take a pee while marching x3 Or should I say, the tunic is. Random fact x3....

Like an artificial bladder in a space suit? Not a bad idea,
since it saves time and is probably not so bad during
battle, where you can't just go off the battlefield.

More like a lining of soft polished and waxed leather, so that it just runs right down without soaking the cloth. x3Β

I enjoy his armor setup a lot. Β Practical and very aesthetically pleasing. Β The green flags building up to the main figure make an excellent background too. Β Well done!

Well x3.... this points out one of the major problems with this picture. A problem that I didn't even realize until now....Β
The flags are supposed to be yellow, with a somewhat transparent fabric. That of course makes them look a bit green x3
I'm glad you like the armor design :3

Haha well that's okay. Β I thought it was a pretty unique green color to use as a major focal point of the picture. Β Either way it works very well. Β
