Description
My Magic Parody ComicsPeople who don't play Magic: The Gathering are bound to be confused by this, but it's a joke about a combo using Bloodthrone Vampire and Mitotic Slime . A Whispersilk Cloak is also being used, but the main combo is the feeding of a whole mess of slime to the vampire to give it +14/+14 until end of turn when all is said and done.
Incidentally, if you don't envision your creatures referring to you as their master, you're not playing it right.

That's hilarious. At the very least the slime has substance, unlike spirit tokens.

I have a combo deck with her, gravecrawler and Diregraf Captain, Basically feeding her with the grave crawler an amount of times equals to the black mana I have, and doing the same amount of damage by the effect of the captain, but seeing it this way... I'm feeding her with a rotten corpse!! I don't know if it's better than the slime

I wonder why the Bloodthrone combo decks never made it to any top eights in standard or legacy competitions? Is the deck archetype only played in casual or what?

Bloodthrone looks really cute in panel 2. And its everybodys favorite ooze(well at least my favorite ooze)

You know what vampires are great for? Dark Depths + Hexmage. <3
Any random one drop (/ornithopter/kobold/phyrexian walker/shield sphere) with a Fate Transfer also works well.

My creatures are... well I'm fairly sure they can't talk... bit on the beastly side for it, and the ones with brains developed enough to say anything are pretty taciturn, I think.

A combo is a combination of cards that function together in a key way, so... yes. It is a combo. Maybe not the greatest combo in the world, but it sure as hell counts.

also i don't imagine non-black creatures calling me master, hell i mean green creatures would just nod as most are well creatures, white humanoids would either say yes sir or my liege cause i really can't think of an angel calling me master and red creatures other than stupid goblins wouldn't really talk........... oh and blue being mostly sorcerers they probably be witty and sassy XD

first things first i love this thing XD hope you make a bunch more and if you ever need ideas or help i'd be more than happy to give so.... and i actually just won FNM with a deck that used this combo a couple of weeks ago but in a G/B vampire deck without the cloak XD

Man, no one seems to be worried about the slime. Isn't it
enough that they are used as a cheap and easy way to
level up by heroes, now they're being fed to vamps as cheap
power ups?

Don't forget to include mortician beetle for an extra 8 damage, and enough to bring someone from 20 to 0 in one swing.

I have to disagree with you my friend, I play with solider's and I never once thought they'd refer to me as master, maybe "yes sir!" but never master

This reminds me of our groups discussions on why it didn't make sense an snake could wear a suit of armor. This was repeatedly brought up and it never failed to pause us for at least a moment until someone said, "As long as the armor is touching the snake somehow, it gets the bonuses." Satisfied, we would go back to the game.
That said, this conundrum is far more challenging.

It's much faster to throw in phage then equip her with the whispersilk cloak.
And my Creatures do not call me master, They call me the Commander! (coralhelm commander to be more precise)
That is of course unless I am forcing the fall of lightning from the mountains, at which point they call me Meister of the Scorched Earth.

That is hilarious. I never thought about it like that.
Personally, I prefer Earthcraft/Squirrel nest, but maybe that's just because overwhelming your enemies with a nigh infinite horde of squirrels on turn five is just plain hilarious.
