Ultra cute, really like the kick back to the Genesis there, some SEGA Genesis love is always a plus! Your style is pretty simple and cute and gives the characters an interesting flare, I really like the small refs in the room like the Sonic 2 Case, and the Spring (is it a beanbag?) that Amy is sitting on. I'd expect Amy's room to actually look something like this.

xD Nah`, it's just a spring bean-bag esq chair.Β
This style took me hell-a-long to figure out, and it's not even that 'unique', as far as that goes. It's a mixture of what I've learned from drawing more (Or trying to, at least) human anatomy, and what I knew about drawing the Sonic Anatomy from way back in my youth.Β
Either way, they look better than half of my old Sonic stuff, so I'm satisfied~Β

Well, I wish I had that chair, looks sweet.
Well, still I think it's a pretty good mix. It's a healthy mixture at least, there are some people out there that make Sonic characters have way to human like anatomy, and while I have no problem with them doing so, it sometimes just doesn't look right, at least to me.

I like the "String Arms Don't Make Sense" mentality when drawing Sonic.Β
It lets me be more chill about the dance of my pen. I'm less stressed, and I can doodle easier.Β
I have enough problems with real anatomy as far as humans go, I don't need my cartoon animals being an Art Class Project too.Β

As do I.
I agree with your statement there, I haven't done proper human anatomy in some time though, I am sure even if I tried, it'd be nothing but utter failure. Though I suppose if I had ever taken a formal art class, I may have a small handle on such a thing.

It's been some 15 years since I've started drawing, reaching 21 this year, and I've JUST picked up on where to place the shoulders and legs, despite them being bare-bones cartoony styles half the time.Β
That stuff's rough, but no one respects someone in the artist community who uses "It's my style" as an excuse for lazy anatomy. So her I am, on Youtube daily learning proper anatomy.Β
Not gonna lie though. It's fun in a masochistic way.Β

Gosh, I don't even know how long I have been drawing, though since I was young (Not that that stuff was honestly any good) I'd say roughly half my life and I'll be 24 this year so there is that. I think I sorta have the whole placement for joints and such down, though I really seem to botch up knee placement the most...I just don't know how I manage that.
True, people even pounce on others for the smallest of mistakes which can be unfair depending on the artists skill level. Frankly sometimes I really don't care since I only draw for fun, I don't plan on taking it anywhere serious like some people do I suppose.
I should try looking up tutorials at some point, but again, sometimes I just can't give a damn (sorry for language).

Pff` No worries on my end.Β
But yeah, even though I find regular anatomy unappealing as far as art goes, I do like my characters to have a slightly existent build, even if it is mostly cartoony in nature. It never fails to confuse me, and frustrate the crap out of me when I simply cannot logically find out why my character doesn't look right, even though I'm certain I've placed everything in the right area.Β
I use to hate drawing stick figures first, but now with the tablet it's simply my best friend. It's slowly becoming the same way, the more I learn the actual placement of appendage placement. Shoulders extend a few notches past the torso, legs are best drawn from the inside of the square/torso, and not on the outer rim.Β
I dunno. The most fun I have in life is learning how to be a better artist.. It's second only to my love of talking in depth about Video Games~Β
