I have been looking for just this picture... men tied up are rare... done in such an aesthetically perfect way is even more rare...and finally your comment..not to let them suffer. This bondage represents an ultimate surrender and trust ...appropriate between lovers who do not desire the other's suffering... but the gift of submission..it is human calligraphy and speaks of love....

it's really a good photo.
i think it's fine that the guy is relaxed, because it makes the pix more natural, more human
maybe the framing is too tight, maybe you should have walked a little step behind

I hear that!
The pink highlights on black and white make that vulnerable feel -- I dunno, it is injected into me by society -- I think it is attractive and the concept is strong. Quite erotic! He seems surrendered to the rope.

I like the DoF, and the monochromatic theme. The red is soft and sweet. Very nice.

i have to disagree with ~curls-of-rage, the focus is perfect - it draws your attention to the important factors of the picture, while the depth of field is not too shallow to destroy the remaining information. the balance is excellent, but i (again disagreeing! whoops!) think the rope is too red. the colour is a wonderful choice, but perhaps it is too obvious? to take some of the colour out of the rope would allow the viewer to make their own descisions about what the rope is for. to me now, it looks like he's been tied up, but perhaps he asked to be (this is certainly suggested by his posture) - the intensity of the colour of the rope suggests to me that it was forced upon him.
but then i'm just nit-picking - it's gorgeous... has given me some ideas actually...

There is something intensely attractive to the thought of protecting the one which is stereotypically and socially preceived as the lone strong protector.
I am ever in search of creative and classic model photographers, so I shall watch you. But, do you have an outside website? Some of your works are familiar in a non-DA setting.

This picture is so deep.Do these red ropes have any meaning?Like what binds us to this suffering?Greed,Inequality. In a way, leaving the ropes colored and the person gray means that this issue has made itself more important than the person its affecting.

> no replying answers for the comments from the Artist? don't see any here.
> the knee touching the right border, think of it as part of the 'submission' theme, 'confinement'!
> and no doubt the rope was PS or otherwise filled in. eXcellent suxta of msgs here.
> fact that the face is left out adds an element of curious wonderment.
> anyone that reads this, please tell me if U have ever seen art like mine...
..................I'm getting replies from dev-heads just as input since I've been doing
this for almost 10yrs w/o interaction w/other Artists. - thanks!

Overall a good picture... but that knee touching the right border is getting to me. I wouldn't have cropped the picture that way.

shit. this is one heck of a picture. i usually see women tied up, but this is a change, and i love gender role reversal- so much the better for females (hetero ones hahhaha). ur fiddling with the levels has brought a great richness to the skin tone.... the only thing i want to ask you is why is he sitting in such a relaxed position, and why aren't the ropes tighter? is there a specific reason?
congrats for the dd!
