Ollie's fear of lions because one killed his parents; reminds me of the same fear the main character from "James and the Giant Peach" had.
Only, James' parents were killed by an escaped zoo-rhino, and the image of the rhino still haunts him in his dreams as a cloud demon.

Ah! You're totally right! Never thought of that. I wouldn't be surprised if Ollie suffered from nightmares with cloud demon lions.

Ollie has a number of origin stories. There's the plane crash one (yawn!) and then my personal favorite... While on safari with his parents, a lion attacks and kills Mama and Papa Queen! Ollie blames himself for hesitating to shoot the lion.
I doubt that story's still canon. XD
