-Pokedex: It wades in shallow water, and pulls up small fish with the fine line and hook on the end of its beak.
_________When hunting or building a nest, it tends to throw around the hook on its beak. It is very dangerous to approach.
Evolves to Evolves from Hoistaruss at level 31.

From a design point of view it might make sense to have the line and hook be its tongue as opposed to dangling from the end of its beak, that said I like the idea. I had a whack at the fishing rod pokemon idea a good while a go now and I couldn't incorporate it into an idea at all. You have had much more success it seems.

Hm, that's really not a bad idea. It makes sense from a biological perspective, at least. I'm thinking of remaking this one eventually, as there's something rather bland about the design; all it is is an animal with an object attached to it, which is probably the laziest way to design a Pokemon. Any suggestions for making the 'angler' aspect a little less transparent?

It's a tough one to incorpoarte without seeming too artificial. Maybe give it some cheeks that give an impression of the reel of the rod and the beak could be longer and thinner to suggest the rod itself which, with the tongue dangling out of the end could look quite like a rod without actually being one. To spice up its body maybe make a subtle nod to a fishing jacket.

Them's some fantastic ideas. I'm not sure how I feel about the fishing line tongue, but I'll incorporate as much as I can, within reason, when I make the redesign.
