I've been listening way too much to Suga Shikao lately. I've been a fan for years and years, and he just keeps on getting better. Plus he's hot as hell. If you can guess what 4 songs are featured here you win the internets. Basically my emotion cycle, haha

.Also anticipating coloring my hair on sunday. I have no idea how we're gonna cut/color it, but I'll try as close to this pic as I can. it can be viewed as sort of a self portrait, I did use reference pics but it still came out too skinny and pretty. I should really draw Nova more often, and update the ref sheet. I've changed most of her markings anyway.

I love doing realistic stuff, but I'm still not satisfied with the results. I have a Mona Lisa syndrome, really :,D.
I wish I had gotten a shirt like that, but they were all sold out at rakuten, so boo. I could buy one and do some printing on it, since I have a textile printing class going on, but I'm too cheap :,D.

This a masterpiece? It's a doodle done sleep deprived and half asleep. I guess that's when I should start doing art then? XD
The ears are a real pain in the ass to draw. I've been thinking on how they connect to her head for years, and I've just recently established a solid, yet still flawed concept. I stopped caring so much though XD. And yes, either we'll go fishbowl turqouise for the full head, or with pink stripes in the bangs, and maybe some hair is dyed pink on the underside. We'll see how creative we'll get XD.

Ears /are/ a pain in the ass. For a long time I drew my ears basically attached to the top of the head... but I've gotten a bit more realistic, looking at different animals and humans as well. I put them about upper/mid-head now, and they sorta work there. 'Course there's always gonna be a bit of unrealistic-ness about anthros and such, but I think you did a damn good job... especially on her facial features (the chubbiness around her cheek and chin, the way her lips look, those eyeees <3).
That hair is gonna be wild and awesome. You must take a photo of yourself when you get your hair done. xD

In conclusion, sleep deprivation kicks ass XD.
Big ass ears in general are hard to draw, depending on their shape. Since Nova's ears are shaped like this D if you would cut all but the base off. It was, and still is hard to decide where to attach them. Even more so when I want to keep the extra tip that seperates from the ear at the bottom. I just figured hair would grow really close to the ear, basically inside it to make it easier on my imagination XDDD.
My facial features are extremely hard to capture as a drawing if you don't want to pretty it up a bit. At least from this angle. I did use a photo ref, but not an exact match so I had to make some of it up. And like I said in the desc. I drew myself too skinny, which annoys me XD. The eyes and lips did come out okay, and the nose too. The nose is extremely hard to draw as well if you want to draw it using a human nose as a base, so I had to go and change that a bit.
Fuck yes I'mma taking a photo. My hair is always hot. Except now that my roots are like, 5cm.

Harmittaa vaan kun vahingossa tallensin sen flattened kuvana jo aiemmin nii arvaa oliko persettä ku huomasin et pittää mennä muuttaan vielä joitain juttuja. Sama oli ton paijjan kans ku muisti en free transformillaki voi muokata tekstejä liian myöhään. No ei niitten ollukkaan tarkotus olla kauheen luonnolliset mut olkoon. Noppee työ oli kuitenki.
Vointi on paska (mutta parempi), dippaa en tiiä saanko valmiiks ihan siks et täs on joku viikko vaan aikaa, enkkua en oo alottanu enkä tiiä millon kerkee, ens jakson alussa varmaan.
Tugga tulee mahollisimman lähelle kuvvaa, vaikka mulla on eestä vielä lyhyemmät nyt. Eipähän tartte koko aikaa olla päivittämässä ref sheettiä jos jaksan sellasen tehhä.

Joo, mulla saattaa olla etten tee ollenkaan :/. Ihan siks et meni tän flunssan kans vituiks ja ku en oikeen saa mittään niistä tehtävistä irti, saatika välttis ajossa valmiiks. Niskatki on aivan sairaan jumissa, pitäs orjuuttaa hieroja.'
Onneks ne oli pikkuvirheitä. Layereiden vahinkomergeeminen vituttaa aivan saatanasti aina.

Itelläkin meni viikko totttaallisesti tohon possulle ja vieläkään ei mikään paras olo, mut koitan silti saaha edes jotakin siihen dippaan tehtyä, vaikka aika onkin ihan loppusuoralla. :/ juu no sun pitää sit tehä vaan esivalintatehtävät ihan suosiolla jos käy nyt näin et dippa jää pois .__.
Njuu, mut jos ei koskaan muista yhistellä layereit niin sit lopussa ohjelma o ihan jumissa ku o jotain sataa layeria yht aikaa auki xD
