Second) Read this, its a passage, and should help with explaining the comparison.
"Oh Zuko is just too old for Katara!" *shakes head in shame* To the people that are apparently unaware; Zuko is 16, Katara is 14, and Aang is 12...sorry 112. Yea...Zuko is too old. -.- Think about it this way...who is the same age as Aang...wait for it....BUMI! So, to those people who want Kataang, just imagine Katara and Bumi together and you basically have Kataang...
...does it make sense now

Well Aang and Katara had a son named Tenzin so apparently Katara liked Aang more, AND Kataang has theme music. (It's true!) while Zutara does not.

here is a little test just for you. go to google images type in aang. see which pairing comes up first. now go do the same thing for katara, zuko, and toph. (i would say mai but no pairing came up). you may have the stupid tenzin and "theme music" but we've got popularity.
