Edit: I got in! On my first try, I'm so proud of myself, I can't wait to get started on all of the meme's and stuff. WOOT!

This is my character sheet for

I'm really surprised at myself. This was all done on photoshop, lining and everything. Usually my lazy bum does it on gimp because my hands are not steady enough. Well when I first tried that, it didn't work out to well. The lines were TOOOOO thick and it drove me insane, so I forced myself to line everything and do everything in PS. I'm quite impressed with myself
There are something that I do certainly need to work on, try different things, but for the most part, I've satisfied

Anyway enough babble, time for some info!!!

Name: Verania Ashward

Age: 16

Height: 5'5

Weight: 110 lbs

Race: Half-Elf

Pets: None at the moment, will possibly want to obtain one later.

Skills: Fluent in Elvish, sewing, archery.

Personality: Usually very shy, and soft spoken. She doesn't like to get into trouble but often finds herself in it anyway. She curious by nature, this usually gets her into trouble as well. Verania is polite and sweet hearted once warmed up, and she's loyal to her friends.

Verania often finds it hard to get friends, because of her shy nature. She will not openly look for conversations, but will answered when spoken to.

Likes: Outside, lightning and thunder storms, the rain, water, learning new things, singing, and dancing.

Dislikeslood, pain, salty foods, & shoes(it's an elf thing)

Fears: Fire, screaming, and smoke

History: Verania grew up in Raventhrone, a city of elves. Her mother, was a lady in waiting for the lady queen, Marathari, who was wife to the King. Aurora, Verania's mother, didn't even fathom that her first and only love would be a soldier of the from the human kingdom.
At first, the war was an arguement between kings, the elven king allowing the gypsies(half breeds) into his city, and the human king wishing to kill all of them off.
David, the king of the human's ordered the elvish king to allow him to survey his city, the elvish king agreed.

Virgule, was the commanding officer for the king's army, he had been given the order to do routine runs around the city with a hand full of guards. The commander agreed, saying it was an honor to do such a thing for the king.
Weeks had gone by and Virgule sat at a local tavern with his men, warming their hands from the bitter cold. Several guards had yet to report back and Virgule was beginning to worry that something was amiss.

The moment the thought crossed his mind, an older man, came bursting through the doors of the tavern. All he guards stood with a scowl, but Virgule eased the tension. The man walked up to the Commander and fell to his knees. He started speaking frantically in Elvish, leaving the commander to stand their, wondering what was going on.
Virgule sank down to his knees and soothed the man, saying that whatever was going on, he would stop. The man took a deep breath and said that a woman was being harassed by a small group of human guards, who refused to let the woman go.

The commander told his men to wait in the tavern for his return and followed the old man to where a group of iron clad guards shoved a woman around roughly, laughing at her cries for help. Virgule did not hesitate to put all of the men down on the ground and order them back to the king.
After the fight, the woman lay on the ground, bruised and cut up from the harsh harassment she got from the guards. The commander offered the woman help, only to have her spit at him and sling a furry of elvish curse words at him.

With a huff, the commander took the woman up into his arms and had the man show him where she resided. When they reached the castle walls, Virgule was awe struck that the woman was of royalty.
After depositing the woman in the infirmary, where the healer mages worked on her quickly, Virgule was commanded to see the king and queen in the grand hall. The commander thought at first he was being punished, which he would gladly accept. It was his responsibility to keep him men in check and that was exactly what he had failed to do.
When the commander reached the grand hall, he sank to his knees at the sight of the king and queen. Both were beautiful, their hair braided with shimmering glass beads, pale skin and almost angelic faces.
The king smiled gently and told the commander to rise from where he stood. Virgule nodded and stood tall, awaiting the punishment he thought was coming.
The queen stood and made her way gracefully over to him, she stopped in front of him and took his hand in her's. Bringing them to her lips, she kissed the back of his gloved hand and thanked him for saving her lady in waiting.

The commander swallowed hard and blushed, he nodded to the lady,saying that he was more than happy to have saved her life.

That was how the two met, their falling in love was much smoother. Years went by and the commander asked the king for Aurora's hand marriage, the king was more than happy to wed the two.

It did not take long for Verania to be conceived. But by that time, the war had begun to escalate. David, the human king, hand grown tired of the elvish king and his kindness. With his son the king plotted to assassinate the Elvish king. Of course the advisers strong disagreed with his plot, there had been a treaty signed by both kings, a treaty that allowed Gypsies free passage to both kingdoms, both kingdoms would agree that the gypsies would not be harmed. But with the death of the elvish king, the treaty would be broken and a war would start. David did not care and agreed that with the Elvish king gone, he could rule the entire area with no retaliation.

Several more years had passed and Verania was now five. Months had passed by and the Elvish prince, was having a birthday. A troupe of Gypsies had been called to the palace to dance and play for the young prince. After all the dances had been done, the prince went to talk to a young girl who had been chosen to dance for the prince, and Aurora and Virgule were taking their daughter to bed when the screaming broke out.
The parents ran into the room with their daughter and saw their king, dead.

Six months had passed and the war had broken out in violence. Virgule was no longer commander of David's army, rather he resigned and took commander of the Elvish army. But regardless of how skilled he was, he and his wife had to send their daughter away to a friend house. The little girl protested, cried and begged her parents to stay, but they could not let their only child stay in a place that was so dangerous.

As a parting gift, Verania's mother gave her the violet rose with silvery pearls to her daughter, telling her that she had to take good care of it because they would all meet again.

In the dead of night,Verania's parents handed her over to Leera, an old family friend of both parents. Verania's parents tried to shield her the fire and the cries of those dying, but the little girl watched, wide eyed and frightened.

After that night, years went by and not a single word had come for Verania. Her parents had not contacted her yet and the girl was beginning to worry. As sort of a whim, Verania told her god mother good bye, telling her that she was going to learn to use magic in order to find her parents.

It was only because of the single odd whim that Verania found AoH
