I grew up to hate corn, farm animals, and 'hillbillies' because those were all Iowa stereotypes.
And honestly, I have not seen one corn field in Iowa throughout my life..

I didn't believe Iowa was so full of corn fields till I moved here. Good lord!!! lol But it is a pretty state still.

yes, we do have our share of corn fields. But those beans sneak in there too! I may not always love it here (winters, blah) but it does have it's beauty, doesn't it. How long have you lived in Iowa?

Winters should be interesting for me since I'm from the south. I've only been living here for a few months. And yeah I've noticed all those soy bean fields and such.

lol, that's what I'm like. Born and bred here, 24 years ... I've yet to get used to the damn winters here.

*grain* of truth ... iowa is *mostly* made of corn fields

Where are you from? I bet you wouldn't have to drive too far before you hit one. Or a bean field.

Sioux City. I could also drive up to N. Sioux SD, or S. Sioux NE, and get to a field of some sort fairly quickly as well. We actually have more woods right around here then anything else.

yeah, it is fairly woody on that edge of the state. I'm originally from northwest Iowa but am currently living Southeast ... always surrounded by farms.

xD Yes, Iowa is filled with corn.
I rather dislike this stereotype but it's true. Scariest thing about living in a farmland state is when you see a Cattle crossing sign.
Great picture, reminds me of my uncle's farm where I used to shuck corn.
