Description
Another gang of bandits that will make traversing the wildernesses of The Wizarding World more hazardous, is known as "The Trappers". Reminiscent of the poachers from Hogwarts Legacy, The Trappers mainly deal in poaching magical creatures, selling them, and useful parts of their body on the black market. Occasionally, a poor witch, wizard, or mage gets snagged in one of their traps, and bad things happen when they can't afford to pay for release. Little is known of their founding, other than attacks first began after the Second Wizarding War, but they have been an eternal briar in the sides of aurors, and groups like Henessy's Sentinels. They have a wide territory, stalking the wilds all over the world, preying on any unwary human, or beast they come into contact with. The trappers can often be seen wearing furs, scales, and leathers, with some higher ranking members having charmed pieces of clothing. Each of The Trappers wears a unique animal mask, such as a wolf, deer, bull, elephant, etc. Their significance is not known, but it is theorized to be a mark of identity, and rank, among The Trappers. The Trappers have also been reported by aurors to have Werewolves, and unregistered Animagi among their ranks. Overall, The Trappers are a formidable threat, and any wandering the wilds must take great care to remain perceptive
